On March 22nd, Union Lodge and Celestial Lodge joined forces in a heartwarming effort to raise funds for families in need during the Easter and Passover Holiday Season. This collaborative initiative brought together the dedicated Brethren of the 6th Masonic District, who united not only in their charitable mission but also in a spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition. Through their collective efforts, they successfully raised over $1300, a significant amount that will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the lives of those who are facing challenges during this festive time.
The event featured an engaging atmosphere where participants could enjoy a variety of activities, including a spirited competition in 8 ball pool and cornhole. These games not only provided entertainment but also fostered a sense of community among the attendees, as they engaged in friendly rivalry and shared laughter and good-natured banter. The gathering was further enhanced by the delightful concessions available, which allowed everyone to indulge in tasty treats while enjoying the festivities. The combination of games, food, and fellowship created an inviting environment that encouraged meaningful conversations and strengthened the bonds of fraternalism among the members.
The tournament showcased some impressive talent, and the competition was fierce. The top three players were celebrated for their skills and determination. Bro. Bobby Patrick emerged victorious, taking home the First Place prize, a stunning 50" flat screen TV, which is sure to enhance his viewing experience at home. In second place was Wor. John Robinson, who was rewarded for his efforts with a unique Beverage Smoking Basket, perfect for those who enjoy adding a smoky flavor to their drinks. Meanwhile, Bro. Bill Stockwell secured third place and received a Grilling/Spice Basket, an ideal prize for any barbecue enthusiast looking to elevate their grilling game.
Union Lodge extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported this tournament. Their generosity and enthusiasm played a crucial role in the success of the event. The Lodge is optimistic about the future and hopes to make this charitable tournament an annual tradition, with aspirations to grow the event even larger next year. With the continued support of the community and the commitment of the Brethren, Union Lodge looks forward to making an even greater impact in the lives of families in need during the holiday season.
